The Fu-Chuan Chinese Junk Ship, made up the most of the Royal Navy in 1782 because they were military combat and trade ships. Junks have been modified a lot over time because of the change of dynasties like the Han Dynasty, the Song Dynasty, the Yuan Dynasty, etc. This ship traveled a lot of places such as Sumatra in the Republic of Indonesia, Ceylon or Sri Lanka, and southern India. This ship, boosted China’s economy because they allowed supplies to be traded around east Asia and protected China. The Junk Ship influenced modern day sails because of the aerodynamic design and the limber holes, holes that allowed water to enter so that the ship didn’t capsize.
